i've always been rather keen on photography, but only got into it seriously about a year ago. my favourite subjects include (mostly unwilling) friends, cats, weddings, and - of course - food. i shoot mostly digital, on a canon eos 30d, but i also own a couple of film cameras - a canon eos 1v and an asahi pentax me. all of the images on this website were captured with a combination of one of the above cameras, in conjunction with the following lenses:
ef 50mm f/1.8; ef 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 is usm; ef-s 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 usm; ef 100mm f/2.8 macro usm; ef 16-35mm f/2.8 L usm; ef 50mm f/1.2 L usm; ef 17-40mm f/4 L usm, pentax 50mm f/1.7, cosina 20mm f/3.5, cosina 19-35mm f/3.5-4.5. though i wish i did, i don't own all of the aforementioned lenses, and those which i don't own i rent from Jason at peridotpix.
image-processing and workflow management is done on either a 12" apple powerbook g4 or a 17" apple macbook pro, both of which run mac os x tiger, and using various software including adobe photoshop cs2, cs3, and aperture. when shooting film, i tend to shoot mostly black and white, and ilford hp5 400 is one of my favourites. i especially love shooting weddings in black and white film. :)
as much as i would like to say that i'm disciplined enough to upload a new picture to this site everyday, i'm not - and as much as i would like to do it, real life often gets in the way.
